 | FAQsBelow is a list of questions that we are frequently asked when we meet with people. Click on the question to get the answer.
| A: | The single greatest need we see in the lives of people is the need for hope. Many times our job is to walk alongside of people and encourage them into their personal and family future. Beyond that, we are currently seeing deep needs in the areas of relationships (family dynamics, parenting skills, reentry into the community, etc.), stronger educational opportunities, better job possibilities and basic needs such as food and clothing. As the economic climate continues to struggle, so do our clients and families. |
| A: | The Dayton Christian Center has three main income streams:
A. Fee for Service - Some of the services we provide are eligible to be reimbursed with county and state funds. These funds do not limit our ability to be a Christian organization, but rather are reimbursements for the work we already provide.
B. Grants and Foundations - We have relationships with several funders in the Dayton area and is a partner agency of the Greater Dayton United Way. We are always looking for other partners to further our mission and the mission of the funder.
C. Churches and Individuals - We could not do the work we do without the generosity of our many churches and supporters around the country who believe in our mission. |
| A: | We are asked this question a lot. We often tell people that our work is to provide a variety of social services, but we understand that long term change happens best when people engage their faith in the process to wholeness. As a Christian agency, we are very real in how we teach and live out our faith while at the same time maintaining high standards of integrity, accountability and service. Our many services are available to clients from all walks of life that are eligible for those services. |
